Cheap tickets to hell

People say that "Service to mankind is the only way to reach god". But now a days people see a very little depth in this statement. An ill or an old person tends to become a money minting gadget. Whether be a renowned hospital or nursing home there is no way one can expect a decent medical service without spending a huge lump some amount.

Medical services have become very expensive and unaffordable in india. Only upper class people can afford the luxury treatment at a renowned hospital . The middle class and poor people struggle very hard to get a decent treatment . It is quite disappointing to see the treatment provided by the low cost private nursing homes or hospitals running in most of the cities in India.

I would like to share my personal experience regarding this, which I have recently come across.

My friend recently underwent uterus repair surgery in a private nursing home in Hyderabad. I was shocked to see the basic amenities provided by the nursing home. And I would like to share with you all.

1. The nursing home was located in the heart of the city without any glow sign board . The moment we entered the nursing home we were terrified to see people entering and exiting the premises without any restriction. There was not a single person to attend us. My friend was given a wooden plank to sleep on in a dark room and almost after two hours delay in the schedule the operation took place finally. After the operation they made her sleep on a blood stained bed sheet without any monitoring devices. We wanted to meet the doctor in charge but she was not to be found. With a great difficulty, I caught hold of a nurse to inform her that the patient's saline water was not connected properly. With a great difficulty, the nurse manage to get an old syringe to puncture into the saline bottle giving me some explanation.
2. Apart from the medical facility , lets look into the hygienic part. The nursing home was as flighty as hell. The floors were not mobbed properly. There was a high possibility of cross infection among the patients as the rooms had no proper ventilation. The ward attender did not change the bed or pillow covers every day. There were no nurses available for the patients on the spot.

3. There were no visiting timings for an outsider ,any one could walk in at any time. The patients were treated like cattle.

Seing the scenario, I felt very helpless. Why can not we do anything to change the system. I think we got used to the system. There is a saying" Health is Wealth "but what are we doing to have a good health inspite of being wealthly. Our body is like a machine it will degenerate as we grow old. We cannot give up so easily without any treatment. All of us are making money to procure a good future. Then why cannot we change the system to be in the system?
